Apps for Good partners with DeepMind to help tackle the gaps in STEM education

Apps for Good is among six education charities and social enterprises to receive funding and volunteer support to increase the reach and number of people that can benefit from our computing courses.

The DeepMind programme, which aims to boost existing programmes through funding, volunteering, and new AI resources aims to reach over 500 schools (over 10% of UK secondary schools) and over 100,000 young people, with a focus on state schools and students from underrepresented groups.

This generous support from DeepMind, will enable Apps for Good to reach 50 schools, with students experiencing disadvantage, with our Innovate for Climate Change course during 2022/23. The course will be available to students aged 11-14, in particular those from backgrounds underrepresented in the technology sector.
