What is your product and who is it for?

Childemic is an education app for children in hospitals across the UK. It’s unfair that children in hospitals for long periods of time miss out on life-changing education that can help them in future life, but we can change that. Childemic is especially fun because it can turn learning into games and lessons that are more enjoyable and less stressful for the children.

What inspired your idea, and why is it important to you?

We got inspired because we think that all children no matter who they are definitely deserve the education to help them get the jobs and success they deserve.

How does your product solve the problem?

Our app solves this problem because if the children use the app for at least 15 minutes each day they can gain the education and the skills to take them far in their future careers.

How does it work?

The teachers and workers from the child’s school or organisation will send in the specific work and information the child needs to learn or answer. From there, Childemic will turn the information into games and lessons that will pop up on the child’s app in their to-do list for lessons that day. After finishing all the lessons in the course, the app will give them a test that will sum up all the information they have been taught. The progress will be sent back to the school so they can tell how the child is doing.

Why vote for Childemic?

People should vote for our team because we really want to help children in hospitals who deserve the same education we have. Otherwise, it is not fair that they have a huge disadvantage.
